Everyone is talking about them, but you still aren’t convinced. Read on to learn more about Fresh 48 sessions in Denton Texas, and why you absolutely need to book one today if you’re expecting!
Some aspects of a Fresh 48 Session:
1. Timing: As the name suggests, it occurs within the first 48 hours after the baby is born. Because of this I only take a few a month, and you book based on your due date.
2. Location: Usually done in the hospital (I work primarily at Texas Health Presbyterian), birthing center, or at home if a home birth occurred. I only work with hospital and birthing centers within a small radius of my home, so I can make sure to accommodate all new mammas.
3. Style: The photos are candid and documentary-style, capturing real-life moments rather than posed images. Some moms opt for matching robes and wraps, but some don’t. Consult with me around colors, items, and fun things to include in your session.
4. Subjects: The newborn, parents, and sometimes siblings or other close family members. However, I try to recommend only mom, dad, and new baby. The more people the more stressful the session is, and thats not ideal for new parents.
5. Details: Focus on the tiny details of the newborn, such as their little hands, feet, hospital bands, and first interactions with family members.
You are tired, exhausted, gross feeling, and emotionally overwhelmed. But you won’t remember any of it. Hiring a photographer for a Fresh 48 session can help you capture the emotions you are feeling looking at your baby for the first few times. Those tiny toes, those little fingers, the bracelets and bassinet, holding them in your arms, trying to get them to latch, all the things. You will look back at these photos and feel all those things all over again. Booking a newborn hospital session will help you capture the newness of it all.
